While first exploring its website, I was struck as to how similar it looked to websites pertaining to conspiracy theories such as ‘whattoknow.info’, a website claiming to give “reliable, verifiable information on major cover-ups and a call to work together for the good of all”.

Although ‘Life Boat’ doesn’t claim to be a conspiracy organization, as most of its aims are geared towards possible future incidents, its mission, in my opinion, seems pretty far fetch.

My main frustration with this organization is that its focus is on future problems for the human species, yet with our current political climate here in the US as well as the life threatening issues throughout the world- why should we worry about singularity, etc when there are so many urgent problems to put our time, energy, and money into?

Not to mention, its goals are highly classist, sexist, and ablest. Eric Klien continuously dodged questions about who would be protected/ chosen to participate in projects such as space colonies. He seemed to have very little knowledge on basic science as well as current news.

In all honesty, I found Eric Klien to be deeply disrespectful and naive to what his mission implies regarding various groups of people.
